This links to a free two-hour self-paced course that you can revisit as many times as you'd like. It provides quizzes to check your progress, and also review materials if needed. The course covers everything from basics of the MATLAB desktop to functions and plotting; content is in the form of short modules, which enables jumping to topics which interest you most. You will need to create a MathWorks account using your email address (we've heard that the MathWorks doesn't use this for anything other than tracking how many people are using the course and from where). If you already created an account when your installed MATLAB, then you can use that account to register.
